PETER KNAPP

Senior Agent

Park Literary

Petet Knapp, Senior Agent, Park LiteraryPeter Knapp, agent at Park Literary, represents middle grade and young adult fiction authors. He seeks a standout voice, complex characters (not just the protagonist), and well-plotted stories “that reveal the magic just under the surface of things.”

Peter’s interests lie in a wide range of genres, from contemporary and historical fiction to science fiction and fantasy (epic or grounded) with rich world-building. His clients include Soman Chainani (author of the New York Times bestselling The School for Good and Evil series), Melanie Conklin (Counting Thyme: Putnam/Penguin), and Will Walton (Anything Could Happen: Scholastic). What’s the big draw for agent Knapp? “More than anything,” he says, “I look to fall in love with characters, and once I do I’m glad to be along for their journey.”

“Pete is a force of nature. He's my partner each step of the way, taking care of a book
from editorial to publishing to marketing. Day after day, he makes me a better author.”
— Soman Chainani, author of The School for Good & Evil (debut; NY Times bestseller)
